Four different jobs
Collection brings materials from a client into your working process. Collaboration lets authorized people change a working set. Delivery provides an agreed release for the client to use. Closeout records what remains available and who maintains it. Calling every stage sharing obscures important differences: a client sending a logo should not automatically receive access to your entire project folder.
Keep the release separate
Create a clearly identified release package from approved work. It can contain final exports, an explanatory note and the agreed source files. It need not expose drafts, internal discussion or material belonging to another client. This is an editorial organization method, not a claim that any particular storage service enforces your contract or certifies that the work is finished.
Choose the route after the task
pCloud documents separate file requests, shared links and folder invitations. Compare the route against what the other person needs to do, whether an account is acceptable and whether ongoing changes are intended. A recipient who only needs a final download has a different requirement from a collaborator editing a working file. More permissions are not automatically more helpful.
A fictional studio handover
A designer asks a client for reference material, works privately, and delivers an approved identity package. The intake request, internal workspace and final delivery link remain distinct. The closeout note names the package version and availability period. If the client can open the link but cannot use the file format, delivery is not operationally complete. Resolve that specific gap before calling the exchange finished.
Put the decision into practice
Draw four boxes in your private project record: intake, work, release and closeout. Put the actual route or responsibility beside each. If one folder serves all four, identify which contents and permissions must differ before involving the client. The drawing should expose an actionable gap, not merely rename an unchanged arrangement.
