pCloud Transfer: 5 GB with a password and no account

pCloud Transfer sends up to 5 GB a transfer by email or by link, and its page says no need to register. A sender who is not signed in to pCloud verifies an email address within 6 hours. An optional password can be set, and you get an email when the recipient downloads the files. pCloud's help says it is designed for quick, one-time sharing.

WeTransfer Free and Smash Free: limits and expiry

WeTransfer Free allows 3 GB or 10 transfers in any 30 days, with links up to 3 days. It is for non-commercial use, and WeTransfer points business and professional work to a paid plan. Smash Free sends 2 GB a transfer, then transfers queue behind Pro transfers; links last 7 days, no sign-up is needed, and a password is available on every plan, Free included.

Dropbox Basic, Filemail and MASV free tiers

Dropbox Basic sends transfers up to 2 GB that expire after 7 days. Filemail sends up to 5 GB free; its Basic account is for personal or commercial use, keeps files up to 7 days and allows up to 3 recipients. MASV gives 15 GB a month free, then $0.25 per GB, and asks for a card and a $10 pre-authorization at sign-up.

When a free transfer stops working for client delivery

A free send stops fitting client work when the files outgrow the cap, the link must outlast the free expiry, or the service bars commercial use, as WeTransfer Free does. The paid steps are pCloud Premium 500 GB, priced above, and Smash Pro at $10 a month billed monthly (6 October 2026).
