Team size and billing: pCloud Business against Box Business Starter

pCloud Business takes 3 to 10 users and is billed monthly or yearly, with no Lifetime option. It lists access levels, teams, activity logs per user and team, and file history of up to 180 days. Box Business Starter is for up to 10 users, and Box's business plans need a minimum of 3.

Upload limits and storage per user

pCloud's Business page lists unlimited file size upload and 1 TB of storage per user, and pCloud gives no upload-traffic or link-traffic figure for Business. Box caps one file at 2 GB on Business Starter, 5 GB on Business and 15 GB on Business Plus.

In a Box shared folder, the folder owner's plan limit applies to every uploader, so a client uploading into your folder meets your plan's cap.

Shared links and file requests

Box File Request is a web form that lets anyone upload without a Box account, but building the form needs a Box Business plan, and branded request pages are an enterprise feature. A request takes up to 500 files at a time, files only and not folders, with one request per folder. The owner can turn on upload notifications and disable the link on a date. Free Box Individual accounts get no link password or auto-expiration.

A pCloud file request is a link that lets anyone upload into one folder with no pCloud account. pCloud lists file requests under its Premium plans and names no plan for Business, and it does not say whether Business links take a password or an expiry date. Business does list branding: personalized links with your logo, cover and message.

Free plans, trials and who should pick which

pCloud Business has a 30-day free trial for 3 or more users; Box shows a "Try for free" button on its business plans without a length. pCloud Basic is a free account of 2 GB to start and up to 10 GB, with no credit card. Box Individual is free with 10 GB and a 250 MB file upload limit, so a larger client file does not fit.

Pick pCloud Business for large client files and a team of 3 to 10; the pCloud Business review and pCloud Business pricing have the plan details. Pick Box for native e-signatures and a File Request form. Best cloud storage for business sets other team services beside both.
