Use a comparable package
Record the plan, currency, billing period, taxes shown and required extras from the current offer. Keep promotional prices separate from renewal assumptions. Compare only plans that satisfy the client journey you need. A cheaper plan with inadequate access controls is not an equivalent alternative, and a larger plan is not automatically better because it leaves more unused capacity.
Separate two kinds of volume
Stored bytes and bytes downloaded by recipients are different quantities. A modest release package can generate repeated outbound transfers when several people download it more than once. pCloud documents a monthly shared-link traffic allowance distinct from storage. Use the traffic worksheet to expose your assumptions, then check the actual allowance and any relevant exclusions in the current plan.
Treat commitment as a decision
Monthly, annual and one-time product purchases create different commitments. A one-time plan is not a promise that the provider, your needs or your client workload will never change. The commission model must not drive the reader’s billing choice. Include a realistic exit path and avoid buying a long commitment solely because an arithmetic comparison looks favorable over an uncertain horizon.
A fictional comparison
One hypothetical option costs 12 units monthly; another costs 120 annually. Twelve monthly payments total 144, but the annual payment commits money sooner and may not fit a three-month project. These are invented inputs, not pCloud prices. Repeat the comparison using dated, equivalent offers and your own work horizon. Do not count speculative future clients as certain justification for a larger plan.
Put the decision into practice
Save the quote date and distinguish recurring charges from optional extras. Include the assumptions behind any arithmetic, especially the number of active months and expected delivery traffic. Revisit the comparison when those assumptions change rather than presenting an old total as a current offer or guaranteed lifetime cost.
The evidence behind this buying guidance
This guide draws on pCloud current plans, pCloud shared links. Merchant-controlled records describe the provider’s own capabilities, terms or standards; they do not independently validate those claims. These records do not establish independent confirmation of the product claims.
Verify any current price, plan limit, label direction, compatibility rule, or commercial term that would materially change the decision. The dated source ledger shows the underlying records so this conclusion can be checked and updated.
